The N6NMZ repeater is open to all licensed amateur radio operators and is located at 3,400 feet in the Sierra near Dobbins, California. Coverage extends from South Sacramento in the south to Redding in the north. West into the foothills and east to Donner Summit.The repeater is a General Electric MASTR II repeater, ACC RC-85 controller and is connected to a master receive and combining system. Also connected is an ACC FC-900 remotebase controller with Icom band modules for 2-meters, 222 and UHF.
This is the backup repeater to the Maxwell repeater and is one of numerous Cal Fire VIP repeaters in the NYP Ranger Unit.
