There is also a Doug Hall RBI remote base controller that controls a Kenwood TM-701A radio. This allow for a steerable remote base on 2-meters and UHF. Power is provided by a pair of deep cycle batteries which are kept charged by a LaMarche charging system. The repeater feeds about 25 watts into a Wacom bpbr duplexer with an additional 4" pass cavity on the transmitter. The antenna is an AEA Isapole fed with 1/2" Andrews Heliax.
The repeater is owned and operated by the Placer County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Communications Unit.
