The N6NMZ repeater is open to all licensed amateur radio operators and is located at 2,000 feet in the Coast Range Foothills near Maxwell, California. Coverage extends from Sacramento in the south to Redding in the north. West into the foothills and east to Donner Summit.The repeater consists of a modified GE MVP mobile radio running about 20 watts connected to port one on an RLC-4 controller. The repeater is part of the Patio Radio Network and shares the controller with link radios. A Motorola Micor base station power supply with back-up power provided by a propane generator, ARR preamp, and a Motorola BPBR duplexer. The antenna is a Cushcraft 4-pole fed with 1/2" Andrews Heliax.
The Patio Radio Network provides coverage of most of Northern California, Western Oregon and Western Washington.
